Cover Letter

Authors must submit a cover letter with their manuscripts.

Dear Editor-In-Chief,

I am enclosing herewith research papers, short communication articles, and review articles [these are the categories of manuscripts]. Delete whatever is not applicable] entitled […………………………….] for consideration for publication in Sohag Engineering Journal (SEJ).

I, [Insert the name of the corresponding author here] (Corresponding author) certify that:

  1. The manuscript is the original work of all authors.

  2. All authors made a significant contribution to this study.

  3. All authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript.

  4. This manuscript has not been submitted for publication and has not been published in any other journal.

 File Formats:

    • Original submissions should be submitted as a single document using Word file formats.

    • Incorporate the manuscript text, tables, and figures into a single file.

    • The submission should follow the guidelines listed in these instructions.

    • Revised manuscripts should be made with change tracking enabled so that editors can easily distinguish the changes made.

Format and style of the manuscript:

  • It is preferred to receive a single complete file that includes all figures and tables in MS Word (.docx format)

Authors who publish with SEJ agree to the following terms: Copyright of the published articles will be with the concerned authors as per the license; authors will be requested to grant first publishing rights to SEJ. Under this license, authors' published articles can be posted in their institutional repositories or on their website and can be emailed to their friends and colleagues; they also may be printed, freely distributed, archived in any collection, included in the course material, quoted in publications, translated, and distributed, provided that the original work is cited. 

Open Access Policy:

SEJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or share links to the full texts under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 International License.

Screening for Plagiarism Policy:

All papers submitted to SEJ will be checked by using Similarity Check using iThenticate plagiarism detection tools to detect and prevent plagiarism and maintain the integrity and clarity of our journal. And making sure only original research is published. SEJ will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
